Demo Day
Each EL/R team will present their work at the end of the semester at our departmental project showcase, CSE Demo Day! Demo day is held each semester on the last day of classes in the Davis hall atriums. While there may be some variation based on availability of the space, demo day normally follows the following Schedule
- Noon : Setup
- 1PM : Pizza
- 2PM : Open to the public and Judging starts
- 4PM : Judging closes
- 5PM : Prizes awarded!
Not all of your team needs to be there the entire time, but SOMEONE from your team needs to be there between 2 and 4 PM.
Setup and Judging
Demo day is a "conference style" event, where each team will get a table with a table number, and judges will be assigned to come and visit your table. The event is also open to the public! You will have roughly 3-5 minutes to make your pitch to a judge about why they should be interested and excited about the work you have done, so it pays to practice in advance, and to have good test data to showcase your progress!
Demo Posters
Each team will produce a poster that can be printed at 24x32 inches (Arch D size). Posters will be available for pickup at the start of the event, and easels and posterboard will also be provided.
Demo Videos
Each team will produce a formal "presentation" video that should walk through what they accomplished during the semester. These should be a maximum of 10 minutes in length, and will be available through the demo day website.
